Background:
Service line inventory and identification of materials used for all Ohio public water systems is mandatory per EPA Lead and Copper Rules & Regulations. The use of lead for water pipes was prohibited by the EPA in 1988. The identification process will determine if lead lines (pipes) are used in your home.
Garden Acres Water Co owns the main distribution lines, connectors, and valving used to route the water to your property boundary. The system owned portions of our water system do not contain lead. The customer owns a shutoff valve, (called a curb stop) in the yard and the service line which delivers water from the street inside your home. This is the portion we need to identify.
